Panasonic is the most reliable and popular brand of Plasma TV’s in the world! Their picture quality is outstanding!
Sony, Samsung, LG, Sharp & Phillips are good brand of LCD’s however, their picture qualities still don’t match that of Panasonic’s or Samsung’s Plasma’s!
I got my Panasonic from Best Buy which offers really good deals on TV plus extended warranties! I would recommend shopping around there and also Amazon.com, they are also a trusted place to shop!
If you were to buy a plasma then panasonic. they have made one of the best plasma tv’s next to pioneer for years now and have the least amount of problems. You don’t have to refill plasma’s or recharge plasma tv’s like one of the other respondents said. If you were to go lcd then a samsung would be my first choice then sony. Samsung top models being a ln40/46/52 a 650 /750/ 0r 850 because all offer the 120 hz technology which will provide a smoother picture. Plasmas are darker in picture becuase they havfe the best black levels and look more realistic lcd tv’s are brighter andmore vivid but lack realism. Samsung are more vivid and have a beautiful 3d pop sony basis itself to look more realistic and not be as vivid but still much brighter than most plasma tv’s. Depends on your preference when looking at them. Try and shop at best buy first most associates know their stuff and are willing to work with online prices. They probably won’t match but may drop price by a hundred or two hundred dollars and may work a deal out towards the purchase of surround sound or the cables you’ll need if your hooking up a hd cable/sat box or new blur ray dvd player. I would personally wait a little longer because some new panasonic plasma models are coming out early april as well as new lcd models early april.
Forget about Plasmas TV, since it’s been proved that LCDs last longer… Because in Plasmas you will need to change the liquid inside every few years. Also, I recently read an article on how Plasma TVs are soon to be discontinued. By the way, good TV brands to buy are Sony VIZIO or Samsungs for their good rep. on lasting longer. Even though Sharp is more advanced on their technology in TVs, it may always be better to buy something that would last longer.
Walmart does have great deals on TVs, but if you are looking updated quality TVs, then BestBuy has a good selection.
If i were you i would get a lcd and would get a samsung they make the best tv on the market. And as of now they are leading the pack in all lcd sales. The 650 series are amazing picture quality make sure you get 120 hz the 650 series of samsung has it. Costco as far as i have seen has not carried the 120 hz your best bet would be best buy even though a little expensive
Well, I always fall back on Sony because they make amazing everything. You’re going to pay HIGH price for that though.
I bought a Vizio and I’m REALLY happy with it. It’s got great picture quality and it’s not nearly as expensive as the top brands.
Costco has absolutly amazing prices on tv’s and Video Only in Washington State will beat anyones prices. I hate shopping at walmart because of their business practice…but they have low prices too.
